Yes.
I was addicted to somebody once. He wasn't a very nice person, but he was very unusual and made me feel special just because he was using me. He became a celebrity in the end.
He had that star quality charisma which my ego really craved. Probably did me more harm than good in the long run.
These days I get addicted to people who make me feel good and alive. It's almost the same pattern, but these are all nice and lovely people. They don't harm me.
But it is an addiction - something is really lacking in ME so I need to bask in their glow to feel "right". I want to have what they can give even if I have nothing of value, except my love, to give in return.
Addiction usually means using; and I am addicted, but I don't conciously use these beautiful people. I don't cling to them or bother them. I make a point of telling them how much I value them.
Perhaps that makes them feel uncomfortable?
My addictions now are very gentle compared to the intense fire of my first one.
I feel attracted and then addicted to people I think they are wiser than me, people who make me feel I exist. But I already exist. It makes me feel so good, but I bet it is scary for them even though I don't depend on them in any obvious way.
I think that is why people turn to religion in the end - they can be addicted to a god who can't shake them off and tell them to stop.
I don't worship anyone, however. Just look for some soul connection. It is so good when I find it, I want more and more and more.
Sigh. That's bad, isn't it?

Yes. I was addicted to someone for 6yrs! I got addicted when I was 14 and I managed to beat the addiction at 20, after I put thousands of miles between us!

Yeah I think it's possible, i'm totally addicted to conversations with this 1 person, just seems to always make sense.

I'm addicted to my man- he is wonderful!
Also, I know someone who is very addictive, its all about personality baby. I do not find this person sexually attractive at all, infact he'd get -5/10 for attractiveness however, he can make me laugh none stop, thats what is addictive!!

Yeah and that's the hardest addiction to break. Took me a long time to get over this one guy. I was so addicted to him.
