Is it sheetrock? Be aware that depending on where you punch the wall, you could break your fist. This is because wooden 2 X 4 studs exist in some places. So, if you unfortunately punch the wall in an undesirable spot, you will have more to hide than a hole in the wall. You will have a broken or seriously swollen hand - impossible for you to sweep that under the rug!

You can fix it cheap, I suppose. If it is sheet rock, you need to get some. They are sold in 4 ft X 8 ft sheets, but look in dumpsters at construction sites for a scrap that you can use. Go to some place like Lowes or Home Depot, and get some "joint compound". It is mud that you will use to glue and paste the scrap of sheetrock into your wall. It is sold in 5 gallon buckets, but look for smaller buckets. You might be able to get 1 pound or even less, for small jobs. Cut out the hole you punched with your fist, with a utility knife if you have one, so that the hole is square or rectangular. If you dont have a utility knife or box cutter, use a sharp steak knife, or something. Once the hole is square or rectangular, cut a piece from the sheetrock scrap you have, that will fit into the hole reasonably tight. You can put thumbtacks in the wall behind the hole, then stretch rubber bands from thumbtack to thumbtack, in order to brace and support the sheet rock plug you are installing. Spread the joint compound mud in the cracks between the wall and the newly installed plug. Let it dry. When it is dry, sand it down so that it is even. Use fine grit sandpaper (get that from Lowes or Home Depot also). When it is smooth, you need to paint it. If you dont have a can of paint handy that will match the color of your wall, you might try getting a can of spray paint, and spray painting over your finished, sanded work.

In the future, the next time you are tempted to throw your fist, in a fit of rage, remember all of the extra work and inconvenience you have to go through, in order to fix the result of your anger. This might help you to control yourself next time. Best wishes to you!

Get some of the plaster that they have already made and get a piece of paper, larger than the whole, preferably card board. Tie a string into the paper, or you can buy patches to do the same thing, then put the paper or card board inside the wall, put the plaster around the paper or card board to secure it there. Let dry for about 3-4 hours, maybe less in a really warm room. Then put the plaster into the whole, making sure the string hangs out so you can tug on it ever so gently to hold it there in case its not totally dry on the other side. Fill the hole. Let it dry, very dry, sand down with sand paper and if the string is still showing you may have to cut it. But the whole should be covered. Be careful to cover the whole nicely. You may want to tell them about it after, and tell them that you are sorry and ask them if they forgive you. Oh yes, do something about redirecting your anger. You could even get one of those boxing bags to start off with. Gl and Gb

Go to your local hardwear store (Lowes, Home Depot, even Walmart and Fred Myers would have it) and get a small tub of spackle and a peice of mesh big enough to cover it. If you go to a hardwear store just describe the size of the hole and they will get you what you need. The whole cost will be about $10.

If that's too much get white plastor at an art store and a peice of mesh to cover the whole thing.

Next time, punch a pillow. It's less satisfying but still helps with the anger. Better yet, take a jog. That always feels better when you done.

Good luck

While you could fix the hole and hide it from your parents now, they will eventually find out. They will then be angry about your dishonesty in addition to your conduct of punching the wall. The best thing to do is to come clean with them. Tell them what happened, that you understand what you did was wrong and that you will pay to have the hole repaired. They will probably be angry a little but they will respect your honesty and that's worth a lot more than not getting into a little trouble with them. In the long run gaining their trust is the better way to go.

Your wall is a simple fix, a wall patch kit sold at your local hardware store is less than $10. Look around your home for cans of leftover paint, try to find a match, if you cant find any, a local paint store will give you a color deck to take home to find a match. Here is the hard part, You have to follow the instructions given to you to fix your problem. You have to learn respect for another persons property, you need to learn how to be honest with your parents. Going behind your parents back for a cheap fix to your act of violence, is not going to help you or your peers in the long run. If your big enough to knock a hole in the wall, man up, tell your parents what you did, take responsibility for your actions, fix it with their help.

Don't put cotton or paper or anything else to fill in the hole before applying compound. To make it look like the hole was never there. Cut away the rough areas around it using a piece of old drywall as a template. Then use that same piece of drywall to fit in place where you just used it as a template. Get some joint compound and mesh tape and seal the new patch to the wall. paint over it with same color paint looks good as new. Your dad may have some old drywall in basement or maybe a friend can help you out with that?

First, get your anger under control ... that's not cool. Second, buy some plaster at a hardware store (it's cheap) and fix the hole. It's very easy, a moron could figure out how to apply it. Put the poster back up to cover the spot, because it will show against the paint. When the room needs repainting someday, it will have been so long ago that it happened that no one will care about it.

dry wall mud put some thing in side the whole to catch the mud and start filling it in but it will take several days cause you have to let it dry between coats you might as well tell your parents and tell them that you will fix it and that way you will learn that it takes a lot of work to fix what you tore up in a matter of minutes your lucky you did not find a stud with your fist you could have broken your hand or wrist

Cut out a small square around it then fill the hole with a drywall patch, I'm no expert but I think that would work. Also, if you're punching holes in the wall, you might want to talk to your parents, even if it is hard.

Go to Home Depot/Lowe's and get a patch kit. Inside you will find joint compound/screen and possibly a small plastic device(putty knife) to spread the compound... Follow the instructions.... You may want to stuff the holes with some newspaper to give the screen some support..... In the future hit a pillow, not the wall... Good luck
