Assuming that you are in the United States, the answer to your question depends on the agreement you made with the company when you took the job, but in general, unless there was an explicit agreement that you would not be required to work more than X hours per week, what they are doing is probably legal.

Depends where you live. Somes states have limits for the day and others don't. Being on call usually doesn't count as work time because you only work when you're called in to do so. In my state it's legal to work 16 hours a day because there has to be a break of 8 hours between shifts.

I work at a school district and we are not supposed to work over 9 hours without an 8 hour time off period. But often when offered overtime on the weekend Someone may take the over time as a carry over shift. meaning depending how long the OT is for they could do 22 hours straight. It's union issue alot of times.

I think a limit of 48 hours a week is set in the UK, you can do more if it's your choice but I don't think you can be made to.After every 6 hours you work you are entitled to a 20 minute uninterrupted break.

I'm on salary, which means I am required to be at my job as long as required every day.
Plus I'm on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
So the answer is 24 hours.

24 because that's all the hours there are... there are many service positions for extreme circumstance that allow up to 72 hours of consecutive work, for example fighting wildfires or cleaning up oil spills. Fourteen hours in a day is no big deal, I do it all the time.

I live in cali but I know that in NO usa state is it legal to carry weed.. however, if you live in a state that allows cannibis club cards to be issued, like california, that makes it legal to carry enough/grow enough for yourself. Also, in cali, if you are carrying less than an oz they cannot arrest you, only give you a citation (so long as it isn't seperated in bags, which would be "intent to sell"). just watch it when you pass through school zones or carrying it with you in the car, cuz the charges are much worse.

That depends on what you're doing.

I've worked over 36 continuous hrs. Pilots are limited to 10, comercial drivers, (truckers and bus drivers,) limited to 11, and for any other stats, see OSHA. Not that OSHA stopped me, or my company, from telling me that I was going to do 4 back to back shifts, usually as I was trying to punch out.

I think you're supposed to have 8 hours between shifts but I don't think 7am to 9pm is illegal. I've done 5.30am til 9.30pm, and 9.30am til 12.00am (as in midnight) before.

Yes it is. Firemen are usually on duty 48 hours straight.

If your salaried, to bad.

If your part time, you should have known.
