how do i do the equation (e to the 1.5th power) on a scientific calculator?

Rather than inv, your calculator might have a second function key (or even a third function) like the TI-36X has. In this case, look to the ln key and it should have an e^x as the second function.

i.5 inv ln gives you e^1.5

1.5 inv log gives you 10^1.5

1234 log x 1.5 = inv log gives you 1234^1.5

Or your calculator may have "2nd" instead of "inv"
