It depends on the severity of the violation. I've heard of people getting 8 in one day and nothing happened.

I have no idea. I've had a couple, and although I believe they were totally bogus, I refused to appeal because they wanted me to crawl on hands and knees all the way to Yahooland and beg. Then they offered to reverse their decision if I "paid" them 10 points. That's like putting an innocent man in jail because he cost the courts time and money.

But I guess that seems fair to Yahoo. I wonder why I come here sometimes, like now.

It varies wildly.

I have had accounts get suspended after a single comment that wasn't even a violation, but people didn't like it, so they reported it.

Others have had dozens of violations (some legit, some not) and haven't gotten suspended.

Yahoo! has a very inconsistent system for keeping the order here. Since you can get suspended without even violating anything, I just ignore it, and say whatever I want.

I think I have had at least that many and I am still here. Yahoo doesn't really make it clear what it takes to be deleted, but I think it's the really bad ones that lose their accounts faster.
