In the 1400 "God" was created to make everyone scared to think out side the box, and to not break the laws that were being made by the government. They made the story of the man in the sky so if anyone anywhere says anything bad about him or the ruler he will strick down on you and kill you. Which didnt happen. People would rat on you for talking so they wouldnt go to "made up hell" and then the government would personally chop off your head. So we all know there is no god, and yet everyone makes up there own god so they have something to look forward to after working and having children. When in the real world you live then die and only go 6 feet under, its nice to think theres more but there isnt. So why do people go insane about the made up man in the sky?

People believe in a Creator/Great Spirit/God/Goddess whatever name you chose to call Him/Her because they have felt His/Her presence in their lives. To convince someone who has not had a personal experience with this Higher Power is futile.

You pose a great question but your sources are all wrong. The concept of God was created several millenia ago when man worshipped dinosaurs. When men go tired of being "eaten"/"sacrificed" they rebelled and wiped out the dinosaur. However because humans are dependent beings (think Prozac, cigarettes and liquor) they created an invisible God who didn't eat them but some people missed the way it was so they would kill and sacrifice one another.
Eventually most human beings got hip to the invisible God concept cause they would multiply more. Once the physical god was no longer arund they needed another reason to have their gods fight for them so they could celebrate bloodlust so they created racism. Racism worked out so well that they decided to make it a religiously supported concept.
I could go on... There is so much to tell.

People have believed in an underlying divine reality since the beginning of conscious human thought (millions of years ago--which is much longer than 1400 years) and will continue to do so for as long as humankind exists. It is the nature of human consciousness, it is natural, and there is nothing wrong with it. Furthermore, there are multiple levels of "belief" and multiple ways of defining what "God" is. Some are very primitive and some are very philosophically sophisticated. Not everyone who believes in "God" thinks of It as a "man in the sky" and some even know that there is a difference between cultural religion and its norms and pitfalls (which you are referring to in your rant) and spirituality.

Great points! Forget 'God' though, you're talking primarily about Christianity. There are tons of religions and beliefs out there, and they are meant as a way for people to live an honest life. It keeps order. As far as knowing something doesn't exist after life is very ignorant, unless you're writing this from the grave. No one will ever know what happens when we die until they get there. Keep your mind open to anything, you may be extremely surprised one day. Take care.

the pictures on your wal... did someone create those, whether it be a drawing, painting or just a picture? Did they come from nothing or nowhere? No. Look around, see what you have who you are, where your life is headed, look at the close calls you have experienced, the times maybe you shouldnt be here. You dont think anyone has control of that? Where do you choose to turn when everything is crashing down?

What if you are wrong? What if there is more? What if there is hope worth hoping for? What if you stop and the one thing you fight so hard not to believe in is true?

People need to believe SOMETHING. They can't possible handle the idea that horrible things happen for absolutely no reason. There's no higher power behind the death of innocent children. What was the reason for hundreds...thousands... millions of people being killed in every war we've ever fought BASED ON RELIGION! It's ludicrous to have imaginary friends as an adult but so many people get vociferously upset about God.

When asked about proof, they dispute with faith and belief. What other argument in history can be won by faith?

In the 1400? When is that? CE or BCE? You have things a bit backward as well. It seems, from brain studies, that we may be hardwired to believe in God. Belief in God or gods and goddesses has existed from the earliest times. It is true that later evil men took over religion and used it to control people. There are many reasons that people believe in God or gods and many of them are compelling. Do we KNOW that there is no God? Can't prove a negative. And we should respect other people's beliefs as long as they don't harm us or themselves.

Explain this. What does the government got to do with God? God was around way before the government was. Someone had to create this world and it sure wasn't the government so it must have been GOD!! The trouble with people today they are not raised with respect and that is why they question the things they do.

People have believed in many versions of God long before 1400!! Even 1400 is AD right, not BC, before christ.

Troll alert. Been on here for a whole day and this is your first question? Nice?

So when you actually have lived more then 15 years and you start forming thoughts for yourself you will realize there are things in life that can not be explained except by the existence of God. Then when you do believe your life is changed in such a way that it fortifies your beliefs.

But lets be real... you are not looking for a true answer. Just trolling.
