I took two hpt's last Monday, both were dark positive lines...Tuesday I took another with first morning urine and it was really positive as well. Well, my mom works at a family practice doctor and took a specimen on Wednesday morning and it was positive too. My question...Is there something wrong, because I haven't experienced any "morning sickness". I am guessing that I am about 6 weeks preggo, because my LMP was October 14th. Any advice would be helpful. Also, I have my first OB/GYN appointment on Dec. 5th.

There's nothing wrong at all. About 40% of women don't get morning sickness, and of the 60% that do, they experience it in different ways and at different times.

You may not have it at all, or it may start in a week or so. It might be very mild (only occasional queasiness) or very severe (vomiting multiple times a day).

You'll just have to wait and see.

Congratulations....and if you don't get morning sickness consider yourself lucky - it can make a new mother very miserable!

Feel lucky... I didn't get any morning sickness with my first until about 3 weeks after I found out. i was 9 weeks then. It usually starts to kick in between 8-10 weeks and slowly diminishes after the middle of your second trimester. Then again, whith my last pregnancy i only had morning sickness for a week or two.

Not everyone gets morning sickness and many women don't feel any real symptoms for a couple of months. I didn't feel anything except fatigue until I was about 3 months and then I had mild morning sickness for a month that stopped as soon as I hit 4 months. Everybody is different and each pregnancy is unique. Feel blessed if you avoid the morning sickness - its no piece of cake for sure!

good that u r not having it.
if and when u do try having crackers in bed before getting up. helps to settle the tummy and doesnt cuse too much vomiting.
avoid too oily and fatty stuff. just puts on too much weight and increases chances of high blood pressure.
try walking as an exercise, eat lots of fruits , water and green leafy veggies.
they give fiber and vitamins that are required.
take folic acid to prevent neural tube defects.
stop smoking and drinking. thats a strict no-no.
stay happy, and read and listen to good things the baby will be great.

Remeber that every pregnancy is different. While some women suffer from morning sickness, others don't. I didn't have it with my first two, but with my third I did.

There's also an Old Wives Tale that says if you've got morning sickness, you're having a girl because she's trying to steal your beauty.

Congrats on your good news!

It takes some women a while to "feel" pregnant. If you don't get morning sickness, be thankful. When I found out I was pregnant, I was super shocked because I did not feel pregnant at all. And gradually the symptoms began to show, but I never had bad morning sickness and my boobs never really hurt.
