I'm pretty new to campervaning, what I would like to know is during the winter time when the campervan is laid up how can I stop condensation in the Engine compartment. i-e water laying on top of the inner wheal arch, I thought it was water getting past the rubber seal under the bonnet so I renewed the rubber seal and found it is condensation and not a leak. Can any body advise me.

drill a small hole in the bottom where the water can drain out and don't worry about it any more

I would do two things, first spray wax oil over all the surfaces of the engine bay, second drill a small hole at the lowest point were the water collects. After drilling the hole paint it to ensure it is rust protected.
Ja.

Spray the inside surfaces with Waxoil. It is designed for inside body panels were dampness will quietly rot steel.
It is a very effective product. I have used it in several "classic" cars that are only on the road occasionally.

Like others have said, try a good silicone spray. Also try to ventilate the place it's kept as much as possible - you'd need to air out the interior, water tanks, fridge etc. anyway.

rip up some old newspapers and put them in an open plastic bag and place it wherever the condensation is worse. the paper will soak up any moisture

I WOULD SPRAY EVERYTHING WITH A HIGH QUALITY SILICONE PRODUCT AND SEE WHAT WILL HAPPEN.
