No way. There are far to many good Laker basketball players. He was like the 5th best on that championship team. If you retire all Lakers jerseys of his caliber, there would be no more numbers left.

Maybe when about 4-5 other Lakers are up there, like in 15-20 years. He was good, but 3 guys who are up there made him that good. They should put Shaq and Kobe first. It would be like butting up Horry, Scott and Fox up there. Maybe in the future, but not soon.

they haven't? i'm surprised by this. he was their 6th man during the showtime era. lockdown defender and a 3 point specialist. could play the point whenever magic needed to sit down.
well, maybe i shouldn't be. with the long and storyed history of the franchise, if they keep retiring numbers, there won't be any numbers left. and even though he was great for the team, he wasn't exactly irreplacable.

Who's Michael Cooper? That comedian? Sorry if I insulted some one, but this is the first time I've visited "basketball" on Yahoo! Answers and it is so PRO-focused. That's not even real basketball ... they only dribble - minimally - because they have to, they WALK all the time and it's never called, and from what I hear, there's no real desire to win until the playoffs. Go to a high school game; that's where the REAL game is played.
