I think India is a fine country. Not much different as other people with the other races. I have a lot of friends from India. They're obviously not like what GarisHalus mentioned. Thumbs down for you GarisHalus! Haha!

India itself is a cultural experience... it was one of the most exhausting places to travel, and also one of the most exhilerating. There are so many times I was hit with the feeling I was in Bizarro World (Seinfeld, anyone?). So much fun! As a woman, I'd have to say the women of India are some of the most beautiful in the world. They can make even the dirtiest city street dazzle with their brilliant saris. The men... a little on the hairy side. Lol.

India (Hindi: भारत Bhārat), officially the Republic of India (Hindi: भारत गणराज्य Bhārat Gaṇarājya), is a sovereign nation in South Asia. It is the seventh largest country by geographical area, the second most populous country, and the world's most populous democracy. Bounded by the Indian Ocean on the south, the Arabian Sea on the west, and the Bay of Bengal on the east, India has a coastline of 7,517 kilometers (4,671 mi). It borders Pakistan to the west;China, Nepal, and Bhutan to the north-east; and Bangladesh and Myanmar to the east. In the Indian Ocean, India is in the vicinity of Sri Lanka, Maldives, and Indonesia.

Home to the Indus Valley civilization and a region of historic trade routes and vast empires, the Indian subcontinent was identified with its commercial and cultural wealth for much of its long history. Four major world religions, Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism and Sikhism originated here, while Islam, Christianity, Judaism and Zoroastrianism arrived in the first millennium CE and shaped the region's variegated culture. Gradually annexed by the British East India Company from the early eighteenth century and colonised by the United Kingdom from the mid-nineteenth century, India became a modern nation-state in 1947 after a struggle for independence that was marked by widespread use of nonviolent resistance as a means of social protest.

India is the world's fourth largest economy in purchasing power and the twelfth largest economy at market exchange rates. Significant economic reforms have transformed India into one of the fastest-growing economies in the world but it still suffers from high levels of poverty and illiteracy, malnutrition, and environmental degradation. A pluralistic, multi-lingual, and multi-ethnic society, India is also home to a diversity of wildlife in a variety of protected habitats.

& the people of india r very nice n helpful.

Varied people. Old culture was able to assimilate waves of invaders/migrants well by simply adding their gods to the
pantheon . Interesting people, interesting customs. I don't like the sub-tropics anymore than I like the tropics though so I won't be going and visiting any time soon.
