What batch of bad drugs are you on????
18 year olds aren't mature enough to make that decision in my opinion.
You honestly don't think, given the 60%+ divorce rate and skyrocketing teen pregnancy rate, that lowering the marriage age is going to do anything but make people MORE IRRESPONSIBLE???

Most people are living until there late 70's to early 80's today. They are only children at that age, would you really want to allow them to make such a decision so early on. Remember they are still children.

Nope, it would just mean a young child would be thrown into a situation that requires maturity and that's not gonna happen at age 13.

Marriage is 'supposed' to be a lifelong contract. Do you think a 13 year old has enough worldly wisdom to make a decision like that?

No. 13 year olds should be at home with their parents. You from the hills of Arkansas or Tennessee?
What a dumb notion.

No, there are more and more 30 year olds moving back in with their parents. Changing the marriage age won't help.

no way.
18 is universally accepted as this is the age where boys and girls have matured to the minimum level.
besides, at 13 i dunno if some boys and girls would even know what is the true meaning of marriage except that they will be sleeping on the same bed and staying together.

UH NO and they should RAISE it to like 30. no one under 30 should be able to get married or have children. Then maybe the divorce rate would go down.
