why do they still look worn out and have fuzz balls on them?
I have a new pair of pants that already look horrible!
How can I take better care of my clothes?

Buy good quality fabrics. My gran always said that good clothes can go in the washing machine.

ED: Gran knows everything about this stuff. I don't question, I just parrot her knowledge.

Usually cheap clothing doesn't last long if you wash it often... ALSO- you can wear an item of clothing more than one time BEFORE laundering it again... That will also save wear/tear on your clothing ! Unless it has BO or food stains it should be ok...

Wash garments inside/out, Make sure zippers are zipped and buttons/buttoned... Spot treat any stains and use the delacate cycle with Woolite gentle detergent.. Also, think about hanging things to dry.... If you don't like to iron clothing you can always placed wrinkled items in the dryer with a damp wash cloth for about 10 min. It will get the wrinkles out...!!! Good luck

I turn most of my clothes inside out when I wash them - that will help reduce fading and the pillballs you spoke of. I also avoid machine drying anything that I want to keep for any length of time - that also seems to help with the pilling. Finally, I really like the Dryel and other home dry cleaning kits. I have a lot of wool skirts and sweaters, and those are great for refreshing between trips to the dry cleaner. Also, check your cleaner's website - many have coupons or frequent customer programs.

If your pants look really bad, then you should wash them inside out and dry the same.Right before you think they should be dry, turn right side out.Is your dryer working well? The tumbling in it causes wear on the clothes.Fuzz balls are from rubbing next to other clothes for too long.Hope this helps.
