Turner Gill has had a mediocre record has a head coach. at small schools. (5-7 this year) He's not ready for the top job in prime time. Bo Pelini was well liked by the players, fans and brings the know-how and intensity to the table. It will be Bo's job if he wants it.

Turner Gill. A lot of people seem to want Bo Pelini, but Pelini was only at NU for one year. Gill was the starting QB for the Huskers from 1981-1983 going 31-2. From 1992 to 2004 he spent 13 years as a assistant coach at Nebraska. He is a very close friend to former NU head coach and current interim AD, Tom Osborne, the man who will hire the next head coach.
