i've done both for the last 3 years i lived in s. florida and about 3/4 weeks ago i moved back north and am with my family, but i really enjoy and am comfortable in both situations

What difference does it make to a person who has no family or friends?He might as well live tropical and the cheerful climate there may make him people friendly and make friends.Still, a family is a family,good,bad or indifferent.

Live by friends and family. Otherwise I would be somewhere tropical instead of funky old cold Seattle.

Somewhere tropical for me thanks! I think the lovely scenery and climate will help the lonliness haha!
But now with webcams and skype and low air costs, it would be an easy choice for me :)
Even though my friends and family mean everything and always will, they wouldnt want me to not be happy just for them - their rad like that :)

With family and friends where I live. I like where live. And a humid, tropical climate wouldn't bode well with my hair. : )

I would much rather live near my family. Our son moved away last spring and it is just about killing me. He is coming home for Christmas, though!

where i am, just because i like the climate better. tropical is too warm for me, i need the cold seasons!
