Thanks for responders. I am asking for your intake

Maybe I should have asked if there are any valid reasons other than the above source to believe there is a real threat.

Everyone is crazy. The radicals and fundamentalist Muslims are gaining ground because people fear what the US will do next.

Our battle is with terrorist and not sovereign nations. If we would stop meddling in everyone's business we'd be left alone I think.

Is it a very staggering international we stay in, or what? I surely do no longer comprehend yet some religious bods have stated that it is the three hundred and sixty 5 days that the excellent tribulations start up - The pleasing of the e book of The Apocalypse. In different words, we've pizzed on our chips and the international is coming to an end! as far as i am going to make out, from each of the gobbledygook flying round, a devastating journey will ensue in round September time which will crush the u . s . a . and the united kingdom. This has been printed by resources who've stated this universal jargon for time immemorial and it oftentimes makes me imagine that countless human beings in this international are truly insane yet i do no longer blame the established public at large yet I do blame religious idiots who could close the **** up and promises up elevating an difficulty it truly is so medieval in its context. the international will come to an end faster or later and all of us agree on that yet even if it truly is by asteroid or by someone farting and gassing us all to lack of life is a chance anybody can make yet can not those religious teach offs basically provide it a relax?

My two cents...

I think many people in the US do not fully realize that there are many people, and states, around the world that would like nothing less than to hurt, kill, and/or annihilate the US, or its allies.

Islam, which permeates societies and governments - like Iran - is extremely foreign to the minds of many Americans. Even when Americans intellectually understand the situation, they can scarcely comprehend its impact on people, lives, culture, and government. In societies like this, the resulting culture is fertile for militant thoughts against those they see as anti-Islam. Hence, you see radical Islamists at the forefront of the world's terrorist entities.

These extremists often know no national boundaries, and are well financed -- even through sympathetic governments. Iran, for example, is one such regime that provides both financial, manpower, intelligence, and weapons to these terrorist organizations. Many of these organizations, including the government of Iran, have openly called for the destruction of the West's ally Israel. They have openly announced their desire for the the death of the US and the Islamification of Europe...by force if necessary.

Americans somehow believe that if they just leave Iraq and simply leave the Middle East alone, they will likewise be left alone. Somehow 9-11-2001 registers in their minds as a tragic event; but, they fail to see that they will be targeted whether or not the US is in Iraq or not. Remember, the US was not in Iraq, or Afghanistan, on 9-11-2001. The political infighting about the Iraq war, as well as the lack of understanding that many people want Americans dead...period...has blinded them to the larger threat issues.

Iran is a magnet for anti-American, anti-Israel rhetoric, anger, and actions. In the age of a nuclear-capable Iran, the destruction of Israel by Iran, or some proxy organization, becomes a real possibility. The threat to the West's culture and way of life, supported by Middle East oil, is also threatened. Imagine for a moment, the anarchy, the panic, the loss of life should the oil flow either stop, severely slow, or oil so expensive that you cannot drive your car for fear of car theft or expense. Imagine an Iran growing in influence, threatening Europe with nuclear terror should their governments not legislate according to Islamic law.

President Bush apparently sees this threat, and realizes that if anyone can stop Iran, it is the US. Unfortunately, many democrates in the States are so obsessed with regaining political clout during an unpopular Iraq war, that they dismiss or ignore this threat. How short the memory of Americans is. Too bad for Americans, for what they - and many in the world - choose to ignore now, will be a much worse world war we leave for our children to fight and die. Does the current mindset with Iran remind you of the "laissez faire" interim between WW1 and WW2 the world had with Germany?

Yes he is definitely right.I being an Indian think also in the same line. Why ? Look around you and judge for yourself, whats is happening all around you. Are not all terrorists activity, making our lives miserable ? Is not Islam a threat to world peace and stability ? Are not all terrorists muslims ? Can one rely on any muslim or Islamic country ? Likewise, in Iran also, is it not the clergy ,mullahs and Ayotollahs who run the country ? Is not Islam intolerant of all other religions ? Hope you will see what I mean.

Well, let's see.

Does the constant chant of "Death to America!" mean anything to you?

Does the term "Great Satan" ring a bell?

Does the occupying of our embassy in the '80's by their students (one of whom is now president) concern you at all?

Does this oil-rich nation bent on Nuclear development worry you?

It should.

It does not matter if Iran allows inspections of its nuclear facilities or not. Their agenda is clearly written in their official book called Koran. They sure are an important part of the axis of evil. They are going to try to destroy us at the first chance they get. I say nip the evil in the bud.

Ahmidinijad, Iran's president has proclaimed America "The Great Satan" and Israel "The Little Satan" and destruction of both will allow the 12th Imman to return.
He has also stated ,It is my purpose in life to facilitate the return of Allah.
Scary man, Hitler was once weak and grew strong as the world turned their backs.

Edmund Burke's famous quote applies to Iran and I think is what motivates the administration. "Evil flourishes when good men do nothing".

Largely because of their continued efforts to attain nuclear weapons and their proclaiming that they want to wipe Israel off the face of the Earth. Do the math. They would use whatever means available to deliver the weapon, including arming terrorist groups. See the possiblities now?

2007-11-26 00:27:55 · answer #9 · answered by booman17 7 · 8 1

Because they are developing nuclear weapons. Because they are allies with some of our enemies. Because they are enemies to some of our allies. Because they preach that the US is evil and should be destroyed in the name of islam.

Do we need to go on?
