I would imagine it has something to do with feminism. I think many women have either been indoctrinated, or have made a conscious effort to leave traditional female roles in the past. As a result, more extreme feminists view woman who still subscribe to the traditional role of a submissive, obedient wife as an insult, opposition, or set-back to their cause. This is not to say that all femenism is bad, what is bad is an extreme feministic view which leaves women without the option to choose a traditional role versus their preferred progressive role.

As long as you are happy and he isn't abusive or like a dictator then I think it's fine. Some women have talked down to me because of some of the things my fiance and I do or don't do as the case may be. In the end I know I have a stronger relationship than they do. I've been told I'm backwards but I see their relationships falling apart and full of arguments. Being obedient shouldn't mean being his slave and I think a lot of people miss that point.

I don't think that other women hate you as you think.. Sometimes it may be just a thought only.
In many cases we are possessive and would like to protect our beloved ones may be our husband or wife, so we try to keep them away from their admirers, so in a situation like that, the other women feel that you are selfish or different from others.
So I think there may be a very few cases that some one may feel jealous about you caring for your husband, other than that the majority are not what you think.
So relax and be more flexible and try to go slow on your loving and caring, be normal..
I think your husband may be a little uncomfortable with your to much of loving and tender care..

There is nothing wrong w/ wanting to make your husband happy. You don't have to be submissive and obedient to do it. There comes a time when a woman has to do things her way. Just because you disagree w/ him doesn't mean you love him any less. Maybe you could find a way to keep him happy w/ out acting like a mindless slave.
