First of all good for you for cutting back on television. Second of all television does manipulate people. I'm a furry and the media gave the whole subculture a bad name and now everyone thinks the subculture as a whole is bad. Yes you should try and drop television all together.

Definitely. But T.V. has many advantages, so I don't think that we should cut it out of our lives. What we should be doing, in my opinion, is educating ourselves and broadening our minds so that we don't allow ourselves to form negative opinions based upon whatever nonsense we see on T.V. and the stereotypes which are perpetuated by the news, movies, and other programming.

Governments and media, advertising, have been doing this ever since tv was invented. Persuading us to act and think in a way they want us to think and act.

Unfortunately there are many people who cannot think for themselves, and get manipulated.
