Ok so all of this work has been done including the fuel pump--would not start again tried this morning w9ould niot start--I could hear the fuel pump humm and stop so i put the key in again but did not try to start it just wanted to hear what I could and I could hear it hummm and then stop--got out of truck after it would not start--went to the back tapped gthe gas tank lonce on the left side, once in the middle and once on the right side. Got in truck started right up so back at mechaNICS.. does this sound like a faulty fuel was put in?????

By tapping on the tank and then the Jeep starting sounds like it is a faulty fuel pump not the fuel. Tapping on the tank will vibrate the brushes in the pump and sometimes get them to make contact. I would ask the mechanic to install a CARTER fuel pump specifically beings that is the manufactures brand that you can get aftermarket. Make sure they change the filter also. There is a fuel sock in the tank at the end of the pump to prevent rust and debris from getting into the line.

that means your fuel pump is going out - get it replaced before you wind up unable to use your truck at all.

suggestion to find problem remove filter try to start if gas come out fuelpump ok check see if filter clogged? thing check ignition? see if its making all the right contacts/
