There are Flies near the Artic Circle.

They no longer have wings

They are still called Flies.

As a result I use to rip the wings off of my pet flies some times when I was a child. It strangely extended their lives. Were we looking for a name for Wingless Flies, I think Fidgety or Jumpy would work better because they move around funny and jump alot... instead of just walking.

A"fly" is not named because it can fly , isnt it ? If that be the case, would you call also a crow a "fly" or an eagle a "fly". You would'nt . So a fly is a fly, whether it has wings or not.Am I right ?
