There is nothing wrong with traveling the world alone. You will meet very interesting people along your path and probably make some good friends. You will not have to argue with any partners about what to visit or where to go first. You can choose all activities in your own time. It may get lonely at times but making friends along your travels allows you still do activities with a partner. This sounds like an exciting adventure.

Well it is up to you. As get older they don't really become frail and sickly. However old people have trouble bouncing back from sickness, injury and so on.

Which means, it is all up to you. You could go strong until you are 80 or get some bad disease and be hobbling around for the rest of your life.

Which makes me suggest, why are you wasting your time asking me these questions, go out and do it. There are plenty of safe destinations, some even with a bit of adventure. Asia shows older people a lot of respect, and so worth going to visit just for that reason (and always getting a seat on the bus).
