When I worked in a nursing home as a teenager, one of the clients was only 49! He taught me to always say, "see you later!" So even if someone is going to die sooner rather than later, it is best to say, "See you later!" That way there are no hard feelings. Unless you mean dates who are never going to be dating you again!

No, it is never too late, but some might think it is.

I don't like goodbyes. They are too permanent.

Yeah ... sometimes it's much better to just walk away.
Other times, you regret having done just that.
Hard to know what's best at any given time.
