The McSpinners informed the world not long ago that they had had their own forensic tests done on the car that they hired in Portugal and that nothing incriminating had been found. We now learn that the vitally important carpet that was in the boot, is in fact locked up in a Birmingham laboratory so it is impossible that they have been able to independantly test it. Just more spin and lies.

Why don't they just go back to Portugal, answer the 40 questions that they ran away from or take the lie detector test that they claimed they were willing to take, Oh no, I forgot, that was spin and lies as well.

Totally agree Trance and if only they would do the right thing, people wouldn't be so highly suspicious of them... Any loving parent would got to the ends of the earth to help their child but not these too, time and time again it's all about how innocent they are... They caused this terrible situation and I hope and pray they will pay for it , they deserve nothing but contempt.....

And you have no idea why they ALLEGEDLY won't answer questions or take a lie-detector test -or even that they haven't already done so, but you've already made up your mind that their not doing so proves they are guilty. It doesn't at all.
We've only just heard of the tests on Kate and the twins' hair that took place in September, that show no sedatives were administered. How would you know if the McCann's HAD taken a lie-detector test already?
In any case, nothing they do to try to demostrate their innocence holds any weight with people like you. You've already closed your mind to the possibility that they might not be guilty of anything other than neglect.
EDIT: izo, why wouldn't Clarence Mitchell keep quiet about the lie-detector test? He did about the drugs test.
And get your facts straight. The tests on Kate's hair showed no drugs in the last eight months, the twin's hair showed nothing either, although no time-frame seems to have been given in their case.
It doesn't matter how long they left it before taking the test, as long as the hair that was on their heads in May hadn't been cut off, which scientists can tell from the growth rate, and the length.
You just proved my point that NOTHING they do will convince people they are innocent.

I don't understand how they have had any tests done 'independently' do the McCanns really think that the laboratory in Birmingham would conspire with the Portuguese police? and if 'evidence' was 'planted' (again, how would the Portuguese police be able to plant bodily fluids from Madeleine... they would not have any to plant!!!!) well the 'planted evidence' would show up on their 'independent' tests...
NONE of this case makes any sense, but I am beginning to believe that there will never be justice for Madeleine in this lifetime ..I hope I am very wrong.

EDIT: Netty IF the McCans HAD taken a lie detector test do you think that Clarence Mitchell would of kept quiet about that little nugget?? If they had taken one and they had had an innocent result, we WOULD of heard... The reason we never heard about the drug test on Kate and the twins hair till later... well, how suspect is that? They waited till they were back in the UK months later... when the traces of sedative would be gone... The Portuguese police wanted to do the tests on the twins hair when it happened.. the McCanns wouldn't allow it.. err WHY?? ...even Gerry said (on panorama) the twins slept so soundly that night it made HIM wonder if they had been sedated... well yes it made the population of Europe wonder the same thing... If that was me and I suspected my (remaining) children had been sedated i would want to know with what.. and sod what it looks like to the world... it would not of entered my head to refuse the test unless i was GUILTY!!!!
EDIT;Thanks for the link Netty, but for one i don't care about Kates hair being tested...(I really don't think the fact whether or not Kate was on anti-depressants matters... heavens ..lots of people are!!) ...but I do care about the twins results.. and I can't believe 2 toddlers haven't had their hair trimmed in 5months.. but WHY did they refuse to let the Portuguese police take a test on their children.. (I've already said Gerry wondered... out of his mouth and not in a paper!!) IF you were in that situation.. would you allow it?? I would .. I really now have to doubt your motives.
I question you as you are one of the more lucid McCann supporters.
One. The Carpet is not Languishing. It is locked safe and secure from possible evidence tampering.
It is obviously not enough to convict, that is because without a body and O J Simpson style lawyers we know that even with a 100% match it may not be enough on its own.
I hope that in conjuction with the daily growing mountain of other circumstancial evidence it will be more than enough to convict these two vile child killers.
Now regarding the Lie detector test.
If I were innocent and under this cloud of suspicion, hard to imagine because I would have answered all the questions the Police put to me, but if I was still under suspicion NOTHING, nothing at all would prevent me from trying to clear my name by taking a lie detector test. I would insist that my wife took it too, in fact that we both took several, that all the results were published openly honestly.
Now if my wife and I were innocent the tests would show that, there might be a little anomoly here or their..but they would show our innocence.
The only reason that the McCanns havnt grasped the opportunity to lift this cloud of suspicion is that neither of them could pass a lie detector.
For anybody that has ever been out it is clear that they stink of their tatty tawdry lies.
It is INCREDIBLE that supposedly sentient beings like yourself still refuse to see these two wicked vile slime balls for what they are.
If they were innocent they would take the test.
Anybody would.
To contuinue to make excuses for them is just wrong,

It makes sense as a fact.
McJekyll & McHide are inside the arch that is closing into a circle and I think they know that.
They should once for all answer the questions and be more honest about themselves to show some respect for their own daughter.
Poor Madeleine I hope that dead or alive you can see Christmas and feel it like you should as a innocent little girl who have no fault about some evil adults behaviour.

Yes they should take a lie detector and then we may know alot more. It would certainly rule out some possibilities and then the police would be conducting investigations down one route rather than so many.

also on the panarama programme last week they spoke to the witness who supposedly saw the abductor she said that she would be willing to help police and answer their questions but according to her they haven't asked her. if she is that willing to help why doesn't she just go over there instead of waiting to be asked by the police?

Unfortunately I don't think we will ever know the truth as it has been reported that the case is to be closed at Christmas. Sadly there will not be justice for poor Maddy .Someone knows exactly what happened but they have spun their way out of it.
I see the trolls have been let out.
