The property thsat enables gold to be made into rings and copper into fine wires is ductility. Gold and copper can also be beaten into thin sheets, and easily shaped. this is malleability. gold is both more ductile and more malleable than copper, and both are more so than steel.

Diamond can cut glass because of its hardness.

Clay can be moulded because of its plasticity
