i am 21 and i married 2 years ago, i made it a point to remain a virgin until i was married, it wasnt easy sometimes but i was able to control myself from doing mistakes with men who i knew would never end up being the one for me , but were just a boyfriend or friend. but i have noticed especially in my relatives noone really cares anymore. i was the only one who waited until marriage amoung my 10 cousins. none of them waited , all had kids before marriage too. i listened to their stories and one of my cousins is married and still sleeps around alot like it is nothing. i just dont understand what she gets out of it. because she doesnt know anything about most of them . i understand if you are in love like fiance and planning marriage , but just random dudes i dont get it. please if anyone is still a virgin what are your reasons for staying that way? and if not why did you choose to have sex before marriage? how many have you been with? are there any that you really didnt know ?

I stayed a virgin until marriage, as did my husband. We now know that neither of us have come into this marriage with a mass of sexual bagage and we aren't comparing each other to any one else. Neither of us has a risk of STI's and I have a lowered risk of gynae cancers that are spread by HPV.

I wanted to be my husbands present on our wedding night, something for him to unwrap. And he was mine. The waiting was worth it.

We are both Christians and decided that this was something God had put in the Bible for our protection not to stop us having fun. It teaches self control and respect. It also helped us to see sex as something that you do for the pleasure of your partner. And when you are both doing this, you both receive pleasure in return. And this leads to a great sex life!!

I definately see where you are coming from on this issue. Of my graduating class, I was one of the few remaining virgins. It was a past-time of many of my peers to party and have sex on the weekends, usually with multiple partners.

I have been with my boyfriend for a while now, and we just recently decided to have sex. I was never really planning to save it for marriage, but I definately waited for the right man who I was insanely in love with and it was definatly worth the wait! We were both virgins and even though he was ready before I was (Typical guy, huh? :) ) he waited until I was ready which I thought was wonderful.

So... many young woman are not waiting, some I know lost it as early as 13. Insane? yes.

I am 22 and still a virgin. I am waiting till I get married. I am also waiting cause I don't want to take the risk of getting prego right yet. The time will come eventually, my b/f is being real good about my waiting.

Im 15...still a virgin.

Im going to try to stay a virgin until I get married...or atleast loose it in a serious relationship... (maybe going to loose my virginity in a relationship that lasts over a year...maybe even 2 years.)

No, there aren't many of us left. I am 23, chaste and still waiting for the one.

At least we can feel happy, that we aren't sluts like all the rest of those skanks out there.

I am very happy about it.

I'm with you on this on I'm 24 and I don't believe in sex pre-marrige

waiting until marrage is just insanity and cruel to do yourself I lost mine when I was 15 enjoyed it and enjoy it even more now. If I were a virgin I'd probably feel cheated. You test drive a car before you use it don't you?
