Hi - I am giving a talk this week and have chosen the topic of a (chicken) egg. Can anyone think of any other uses for an egg besides: Cooking, egg flip, painting (Easter), using on the face, juggling, tricks, use of shells (lime) in the garden, immunisation ingredient. Also, does anyone know anything else of interest about the use of the word "egg" (e.g. "egg head"), the largest (?ostrich) and smallest, the most famous, advertising etc. What came first - the chicken or the egg? etc, etc.
I will look up the nutritional value and allergy info.
Anything else of interest???

You can add raw egg to shampoo. It gives hair a lustrous shine.
It can also be used:
**as glue (Egg whites can act as a glue substitute when gluing paper or light cardboard together.)
**starting seeds (Plant seeds in eggshells. Place the eggshell halves in the carton, fill each with soil, and press seeds inside. The seeds will draw extra nutrients from the eggshells.)
**egg and spoon race (place egg on spoon: put end of handle in mouth: run)

When an egg is thrown at a car and busts the shell explodes and the shell shards scratch the paint and if not washed off the egg can actually eat the paint.

How about putting the egg in an incubator for 21 days and see if it hatches into a chick? If the egg is fertile (ie, if the hens were allowed to mix with cockerels) then it will work.
