Hard to say, without being able to see your listing. Jewellery is difficult to sell (and I should know! See shop). People on Ebay want something for nothing. The bargain hunters won't buy if they can't be certain that they're getting a better deal than they would elsewhere, and the remaining buyers need to be 'hooked' to buy something.
For many of my items, they've been listed for nearly a year in my shop. However, because the prices are high, and shop fees are low, I can afford to list them for ages without affecting profit margins. But with items at £8, you can't afford to list for too long without eating away at all your profits.
I'd consider doing jewellery/craft fairs rather than Ebay, as people can get a good look at your items in person and are more likely to buy

All the best

Sorry, no hints here on getting bites.

Only thing I would ponder on is postage. All ebay sellers are responsible for the safe delivery of their product to the buyer. Ownership passes from seller to buyer on payment, risk passes from seller to buyer once the item is in the buyers hand.

I think the compensation on normal post (1st class or 1st class signed for) doesn't cover jewelery, even modestly priced jewellery like yours. You may need to send special delivery or indeed simply accept the risk of the item being lost in the post.

On looking for jewellery, I found it very hard looking online to tell what would look nice. My wife is particularl so I generally don't risk it.

hi just looked on eBay
and there seem to be a lot of sellers that haven't got bids (with only 5mins to go!)
it could be the wrong outlet for you
I used to sell at craft fairs
They are good fun
You might be lucky to get a table now in time for xmas

Think about your own cost and thought and effort put in
Don't under sell yourself

is your price too high? price it similar to other handmade jwllery,if not use cheaper materials. display the item nicely either on yourself or in a place with plenty of light its all in the pictureive bought things because they look nice but when ive got them its not always great. also i prefer bidding i like watching people fight over items on sale you can always place a reserve so it doesnt sell way below price

Don't sell it too cheap. Rise it up a little. If its too cheap the people will think its a good price but they might think you sold it just because its a crappy necklace, bad quality and you get sick of it. Now that is not good.
