it just seems to me we rely on money for everything in life,
wouldn't it be nice if there was an alternative and that
we were not governed and controlled by money, if there was no money in the world what would you suggest as an alternative ?

The world doesn't revolve around money. It's probably only the parts of the world which you have access to which are based upon a system that is driven by economics. You could go live in a part of the world which was not influenced and driven by dollar economics, if you wished. But I think that you would not like it very much.

World of money is made by different countries, all countries contributes to make their money more power full from other. That is what actually a government of a country's work. How Euro born, Euro is the currency of thirteen different countries. Anyone from those country just revolve around euro.
Philosophically, If there are no borders, no different governments there will no differentiation of money, the money and government will become one, and there will be no need of money because there will be no competition. Then the alternative you want must be human work in any kind of field...

It is a sad thing I suppose but we really do need money, people are greedy. Buisinesses NEED money, like an addiction. They couldn't possibly give out their 'well made' products for free, and if they did they wouldn't be able to pay the workers and then the workers would strike because of no wages. Society has been based on money for so long we couldn't possible change now.
As an alternative though... to really stop people having things better off than others because they're wealthy.. trade organs for objects

If we didn't have money we would have to trade our services and the fruits of our labour.

I am happy to say money is far less trouble. Imagine taking a cow to the market square to buy a loaf of bread. who would give you change and how would you carry that change back home, would it be goods you really wanted or that you just had to take.

The practical issues and the fact that the barter system did once work but went out of fashion as we became more sophisticated is a fact. I have to say the monetary system works well, is convenient and we need to keep it.

There is no alternative to money other than goods of value. Money is here to stay.

In the poorer parts of the world, where the lands cannot support crops, money becomes extremely important just in order to survive. And, even in a materially wealthy country, we cannot even really get enough food to eat without having to buy it. The population has grown too large for us all to individually hunt and gather our own food. It must be grown and harvested in mass-production, where it is the most efficient. That food must then be distributed to everybody, where people will have to pay money for it. If you want anything more than the basic food and shelter, then you must work much harder, or be more skillful and intelligent, in order to have enough money to buy any luxuries above the basic necessities.

Alternative? Reduce the human population of earth - perhaps stop having so many children for quite a while... Then we can grow our food in local farming communities, and all work together to produce the food and provide basic clothing and shelter. Instead of money, you can barter the things that you produced and grew on your own... That was basically how it used to be many hundreds of years ago.

Money is just a token to represent other things and it allows exchange of different things to which we attach a similar 'value'. It isn't money that makes the world go round but what you can get for it and that is different fo everybody. Before money was invented, if you wanted food you either had to find it, grow it, or find somebody who had more than they needed and then hope that you had something that they wanted in exchange for food. Money is just a tool that allows us to exchange our 'effort' or 'work' with other people who don't necessarily have exactly what we need or want. The relative values of various commodities is determined largely by supply and demand, i.e. the more people that want it, the more expensive it will be, and the more rare something is the dearer it will be.

Because we men haven't learnt yet how to make it up for the others when there isn't a likely reward awaiting for us at the end of the road. We revolve around money because we need to be altruistic with people we live with and, insofar you pursue your own benefit in this sense, you also fulfil the others'. It is just a funny trick played on us to coax us into doing the right thing for the money's sake is it not?

because the people who invented money weren't smart enough or generous enough to make the barter system work on a larger level. it would invariable require that somebody, somewhere give away something of value and not get anything in return.

and think we all know how likely THAT is to happen. much less on a global scale

i would instead suggest an alternate mode of living. one in which we DO NOT POSSESS anything. nothing can be HAD, but anything can be USED by anyone. so what if someone takes your stuff? it wasn't yours to begin with.

this system would no doubt be a little chaotic and probably result in starvation and animalistic behavior, but hey, you asked...

It doesn't end with money, it's "why we use money" that will lead you to the ultimate question. Money is just a means. The modern world's means to live, the people's means to survive. At the end of the line is the word survival, that is why! We need money as a means to survive, we have lived past the age of savage hunting and commodity trading, money is a more convenient way to define your status quo. And the higher your status is, the higher chance of survival you have. So if you ask why this world revolves around money, it's because everybody wants to have the means to survive, because everybody wants to survive, because this world is all about survival of the fittest, and the one with the biggest money is the fittest.

It's all economics. without it you wouldn't have a house to live in. The supplies to build a house takes money.
You wouldn't have any clothing. It takes money to make clothing no matter how cheap the cloth or the cut of the cloth.
Just because food can grow on trees doesn't mean it is free. You have to cultivate it. That takes money so you have to charge money.
It's all economics and it has been since the first civilization in the Urdu Valley.
