okay I should be starting my period within the next week and half the past 3 days I had very light spotting on the toilet paper and today just started feeling symptoms of a yeast infection should I go get checked out or just treat the yeast infection at home? Im only concerned because of the small amount of blood

This is just a normal effect of being a woman on her period... But if you are experiancing burning, discharge, itching or any other symtom i would treat it as if it were a yeast infection... metronidazole cream or oval inserts will help! It cant hurt and may help with any discomfort you are having but if it gets worse or happens to not get any better than i would suggest the doc for a check up! There is no need to rack up bills just yet love wait it out and just keep track of what is going on so you know what to say if you need to see the doctor! Best of luck to you...Always J.

Because of the bleeding I would recommend having this checked out by your doctor before trying to treat it at home.

i sometimes get this before my period starts. I would say from my experience its normal, but if you are worried about it, a trip to the docs cant hurt can it :o)
