Hot baths are good. Not burning hot of course. They relax your muscles like when you're in a jacuzzi. But I was told by a hair stylist that cold water is better for your hair than hot water b/c it keeps your color in longer.

IMO, bathing in warm water is better than cold water. Our bodies are more accustomed to warm temperature. Using warm water on your baths will be more beneficial especially when you add bath salts to it. On an article I found, warm water opens up the pores and widen blood vessels which makes it more effective for the skin to acquire the minerals found in sea salts/bath salts.
The article can be found here:

Well being in hot water can get you into trouble, and poring cold water on something can dampen your ardour. So if you are romantically inclined, avoid cold water!

baths are not good period, hot or cold, you end up sitting in a soup of the germs that were on your body, and they can get in thru any orofice that is immersed in the water, like your urethra. Showers are much better for you.
