I'm curious. Do you think that it is better if a person has to work for what they want and to earn what they get, so that they may know the value of their earnings more thoroughly and thus appreciate them more? Do you find this to be true? And I don't mean someone else or another group. I mean you individually, how you feel/think/believe.

Yeah I love the feeling of putting a lot of time and hard work into something because when i finally achieve my goal i appreciate it so much more it's more rewarding and makes me feel special. I feel that if anyone takes pride in what they do they will receive great satisfaction

I don't think people "earn" what they get even if they work for it. We are given a birthright by the society we are born into that was the given to us by people who came before and worked much harder than we do and got much less in return. However there is more satisfaction in getting something you have worked for than something which required no effort on your part.

You know what? I don't think so. You must work for what you want obviously, and earning it teaches you valuable lessons in life BUT are they better? No, it's nice to have things handed to you and as long as you are aware that someone worked for it, what's the harm?

Absolutely !
I thought the answer was rather straight forward . Maybe I'm old fashion , or maybe most people think differently these days.
