Steve Nash controls the tempo and the offense of the Suns. Without him, the Suns are a wreck.

Shawn Marion is good, but Steve Nash is the one who carries the Suns. Just look at the comparison:
Suns in 2003-2004, without Steve Nash: 29-53
Suns in 2004-2005, obtained Steve Nash: 62-20!

Losing Shawn Marion would be alot worse than losing Nash. Marion does everything he scores, rebounds, passes and actually plays defense whereas Steve Nash has never played defense in his life. If he played any the Suns would have won a championship by now even with the refs cheating for the boring SPURS.

I don't think they would be that bad. They would have Amare Stoudemire and Leandro Barbosa. But they wouldn't be the same Phoenix Suns without Steve Nash and Shawn Marion.

Only if Grant Hill returns to his old form, otherwise i can't imagine how bad the suns will be because Steve Nash is Suns' Heart and Soul. Remember a couple of years ago when Stephon Marbury was the PG of the Suns? Compare those records and it says all.

Even if you just took Steve Nash away the team wouldn't be the same high wins as normal

They obviously wouldn't be 11-2 right now if they didn't have those two, but they have Barbosa to take over as PG. Marion can't be replaced, though. Nobody in the league is as good as he is at defending all positions.

losing nash will hurt them alot more than losing marion. amare, as good as he is, can't create his own shot from a standing start. unless they can change their strategy or find a suitable nash replacement, they'll probably lose 20 more games.
