There are two Dogue de Bordeaux breeders listed by the DDBSA in Texas with websites. You might want to consider looking, then be sure to have the dogs examined and ask for references as there are many congenital issues with the breed.

Ivy Bordeaux
Mesquite, TX

Jet Ranch Kennels
Snyder, TX

It is usually better to drive a little bit further to buy from a reputable breeder, than to take a risk with a puppy mill or someone without references. I have never had this particular breed, but I have had 15 Golden Retrievers over the years and always try to buy from a breeder, so I have some reassurance that the puppy is well bred and as described. It is always best to see the parents when you are buying also.

I have yorkies and have had doxies. I have been to several sites looking for a local breeder. Having been stung on line before I am now very careful with whom I do business. When I bought the last puppy I went on line as there was suppose to be a breeder in a very close town. I tried their phone number which wasn't a South Texas number and was not a 800-900 number, I then sent them an Email and was told that they still had the puppy that I wanted They said that they had a very small male (I asked for a female) and then they weren't sure of the price that they had advertised. The real bottom line was they wanted $150.00 down before they would show me the dog, I am not that stupid. I will tell you look in the yellow pages and then call the local BBB and ask about any complaints I would also call the Attorney Generals office consumer fraud division. I am not accusing the folks that have the sites but it is very easy to deceive them.
