Her name was Cheryl and it was September 1957. The song was (I think) Silhouettes (on the shade). Didn't take long to remember... I had a crush on her from about fourth grade through Junior High.

I hadn't thought of her in ages... Thank You for reviving some good memories.

My dad; he started teaching me to dance about the same time I started walking....>grin<

The first 'boy' I danced cheek to cheek with was Ricky, at the Homecoming Dance our Freshman year of High School. Neither of us were in the popular crowd, but we were no slouches either. He was a football player, and even though he hit the showers and dressed up after the game, he was still a bit damp. Poor guy was embarrassed...but he danced like a dream and I didn't care that his cheek was damp....:)

That would have been Stephen...the only boy not afraid to dance with the girls during the monthly dances in public school. He was a very good friend who knew I loved to dance! (Yes even way back then when I was only 11 years old!!)

He was in his mid-20s when he admitted he was gay, but all us girls had known THAT from the beginning!

That would have been Jim S. I was 14, he was 18 and it was at one of my highschool "Hops". Mom & Dad didn't like him as they were real religous and he didn't attend church on a regular basis. But since his parents and siblings did, Mom let me go out with him. He secretly smoked so I thought he was so cool and THE bad boy. NO! I didn't smoke then nor now.

I was 11, he was 15...can you imagine? LOL.

It was at a pool party my older cousins took me to, and he was the oldest of a family of 3 kids...one younger, one my age and him.

Had a major crush on him off and on all the way to my freshman year in college.

He married 4x!...two times to the same woman! The 3rd to someone I didn't know. The last to someone else he met late in life. Lives in Atlanta now. Glad I didn't marry him! :-)
