I think wheelie is right. I assume it is a top loader. The top should be held on by clips. If you open it up you should see 3 or 4 springs that hook onto the outer drum . One or more have probably come off. Just hook them back into the little holes or hooks. Look down at the bottom too in case one fell completely off.

There are two reasons why a washing machine vibrates too much on the spin cycle, one, is incorrect loading of the clothes to be washed, and two, is the balance springs that hold the drum in position can come adrift from the main body anchorage, thus causing the drum to vibrate out of balance. It also can be caused by what it is setting on. If there is give in the floor it will cause vibrations also.
