Yeah. My parents are drug addicts and alcoholics. They were sleeping around with practically everyone except each other. Were abusive in everyway you could think of to my older half sister and myself. I was looking after my younger brother and sister the whole time. Even after they separated when I was eleven. I became a teenager at 5 and an adult at 11. Now I am 22, I have more life experience than most people my age but i learnt so much through those times of abuse and neglect. I regret nothing and it only makes me stronger and more resilient.

My childhood was a very happy one and I am trying to keep it in my mind and heart, alive. Happy Childhood experience when... taken care and managed from adults its the best thing that can happen to a person.
I know, though , persons who have lost it and I feel so sad about them. It seems they have lost the joy of living, the game that Life is, the innocent smile and thought, the open heart. We must all take care of these people. Embrace them lovingly and tell them they should not be afraid to feel like child again. Even if their childhood has been a miserable and they don't want to remember, there is still a chance, with the help of fellow humans to find a reborn happy child inside of them.

You might say that. My childhood was all about my "career". I do modelling, dancing and acting, you see ... So I spent my days practising and practising, no time to play with toys ! I was always at a photo shoot, a dance competition, an audition, etc.
I never really got to live like a normal kid. I could never go to the beach, ride a bike, or even just go crazy and pig out on a huge ice cream sundae. I had many restrictions as to what I could and couldn't do. I often felt quite alienated from my peers, because while they were all out, playing on the streets, I was in my room, practising a script, or a dance routine.
So basically, I never really had time to be a kid. But still, there were a lot of pros, such as seeing myself on TV, and people coming up to me and asking me,
'Are you "that" girl ?'
It was a lot of fun. And it still is ! I may have lost my childhood, but I still had fun, even if it was in a different kind of way ...

I wouldn't say I lost my childhood but, my sister and I had a rough one. Our mother was definitely the type of woman who should not have had children. But, I had good times with my sister. We had each other when we had no one else.

Yes I was born with grey hair a moustache and a beard. So I guess I didn't lose it ...I never had it. < joking >
On a serious note ...Yes ! And I feel sad about it. But it is inevitable as we grow & so I have resigned to the fact . I do miss being innocent , I do miss chasing rainbows , I do miss dreaming absurdities , I do miss living amongst elfs and fairies. But some where , I know and am sure , I have that li'l child in me .

Sort of; my mother had rheumatic heart disease and I had to care for our family a lot, but I would not change it. I learned to cook at a very early age and I would tweak the recipe and found it was great fun. Mom lived until I was 18 but she was never healthy.

Yep, and all of my 20's too...
Now I'm sober, but I'm too old to be a kid again..... so I'm making sure my son gets to enjoy every second of his childhood, worry free, trauma free....
