I'm not antisocial, but tonite i feel very isolated and alone. Like I'm the last person on earth. It's just a mood. I do this when I am running on burnout. I have trouble finding the upside of things and people. It passes. that's why i came on Y!A tonite. To connect and maybe lift my spirits. You guys have no expectations of me.I love you for that.

I would consider myself an antisocial but I don't get lonely. I like living alone much more than a share house! I like going out when the moneys right but living alone can let you have people over and give you some quiet time : )

Yes..but "antisocial" ... not really... I'm quite an introvert and even then i'm blessed with the best of friends... But being lonely is what i chose to be... Because i've fallen for someone i might never get and I cant think of anyone else... I cant imagine myself with anyone else...And i know that im being finical... But may be with time i'll be able to accept reality... :)

Yes, I am! Like many other elderly, but it doesn't bother me that much. However, you have a good point, it's really up to yourself. Making new friends isn't really that hard. Many elderly people are lonely and sometimes that loneliness turns into bitterness, which is sad. I believe it's much up to yourself and if you are willing to make an effort or not.

I broke those anti-social chains about 3 years ago. NEVER that!
And I'm a tad lonely but I'd rather have some bloke laying next to me, whispering in my ear, "I love You so much." and treating me like his prince. After all, I deserve the world.

Mostly not lonely.
In my younger years, I was lonely but not due to being anti-social. I was shy and self conscious from years of being the odd man out.

I'm not lonely today, some days I am, Also it isn't nice to make a negative assumption that all lonely people are anti-social.

Hmm, I'm probably anti-social, but I'm certainly not lonely. I'm fine with my own company. I'll second Gracie. Who can be lonely when they've got a book?

Nope. I don't believe I've ever been lonely. I like my company as well as I like anyone else's -- and there are ALWAYS books, they're great company.

Lonely, not due to anti-sociality, but due to bad luck. I HAD friends, but they ditched me as religious persecution.
