There are so many good parts of Sydney, you need to narrow the search down a bit. There is not much point renting in Avalon if you are working in Liverpool. Take a look at the Sydney Morning Herald on a Saturday. The classified advertisements list houses for rent in all suburbs so you can compare prices and see what is available. http://www.smh.com.au

You can search on the Domain website, type in maximum amount [$400] and whether you need parking, etc etc.

Yes it is best to put a suburb and click the little checkbox to search the surrounding 5 suburbs, which works really well.

i rekon that all of sydney suburbs has a good side and a bad side so no matter where u decide to rent you will make it work for you and if your like me i adjust to anything i moved to a suburb that i said that would be the last place i would move to cause i heard so many bad things about it, now i will never move from this area it not what you think its what you make of it.
