Yes and no. There are some who do it with a finesse that is seductive and tells me they are getting the full flavour of a good food by allowing air to flow through their mouth and over the pallate. These have an appreciation for the food. There are others who just gobble and yammer at the same time and just want to fill the belly. There is a definite difference. People who eat with their mouths closed can also be equally compared. Some do it out of manners only and never get the full flavour. Others can savour every taste and can do so by bringing in the air through their nose. It depends on the person and the meal.
