Your bunny may have hayfever, but it is far more likely that his 'goopy eyes' and his 'noisy breathing' are caused by chemicals used on the lawn he was on. Please don't take your bunny out of his cage and put him onto the lawn unless you KNOW that he's not 'allergic' to either the grass itself or the chemicals used on the grass. I've had rabbits, and they were all very healthy and I NEVER put them on the lawn ... I took them camping and let them play in the woods, but then I knew that there were not chemicals on the ground there ... and I had a good 'guard dog' who watched the rabbit play and kept her within distance of us at all times ... the cat went camping with us on that trip, too ... no leashes were used on ANY of our pets when camping, either ... we just taught them to stay with us and not to wander off ...
Take your bunny to the vet for an exam, and I pray the vet can cure your bunny, and that you will take better care of it from now on. And PLEASE don't use teabags to wipe your bunny's eyes ... use a cotton ball dipped in boiled boric acid and water that has been cooled ... it's MUCH SAFER, and if the bunny has hayfever, you could be making it sicker when you use the teabags.

Make sure there are no chemically treated grass or plants around when you let your bunny play outside. Toxic chemicals can do this to bunnies.

Also, if she is eating the plants you should know which are toxic to bunnies. Here is a list.

You also have a point, it could be an allergy

There are two primary allergies in rabbits: allergies to food and inhalant or contact allergies.

These are airborne allergens that your rabbit either inhales or contacts by having them settle in her fur or in her cage. The materials that may cause your rabbit to react to her environment include dust, pollen or cage cleaner.

Symptoms of inhalant/contact allergies include:

* Sneezing
* Wheezing
* Skin irritation
* Runny eyes
* Fur loss

The stuff in his eyes and his symptoms could be snuffles, which is a bacterial infection. Take him to the vet immediately and have them do a test to see what it is - it could be allergies, or he could have some sort of infection. They can give you antibiotics to help the problem. If he has an eye infection and you dont' take him to the vet, he could develop 'head-tilt' which is very serious. Check out rabbit.org for more information on bunny snuffles and sicknesses. I hope he gets better soon, poor baby!

Take Sweet Bunny to the vet. Our bunny was allergic to the litter, so we had to change our litter to the Feline Pine stuff. Mr. Bunny & the cats all used the same litter box.
Bunnies just like people can be allergic to all sorts of things. Give the bunny a nite-nite kiss from us.

You should hold you bunny's chest up next to your ear or use a stethoscope if you have one and listen to the breathing sounds he is making. if the sound "wet" or like dry leaves blowing in the wind he may have a respiratory infection. It is unlikely that your bunny has hay fever or allergies. So it is more likely that he has a had a persistent respiratory infection. It sounds like bunny is off to see the vet.
Good Luck to you and your bunny.
I have three myself but they stay inside and wander around my living room.

If he gets diorreah from going on the lawn & eating it then please don't let him on the lawn; clearly it or something that is put on it does not agree with his sensitive tummy. Continuing to put him on the lawn and give him diorreah will eventually kill him if you don't know how to treat it properly.

Add to that the "goopy" eyes and "noisy" breathing it's probably something that's put onto the lawn; therefore please don't do it any more as i's clearly not good for him.

Poor bunnykins! that sounds really uncomfy.
Maybe take him to the vet and see what you can get in the way of bunny-flammatories to soothe the poor wee man down...

Does your bunny get any hay tangled in its fur from time to time? If so, then everything is OKAY.
