When I connect my 5.5G Ipod to my computer it shuts down. I've even tried other USB ports. I'm using Windows Vista Ultimate.
This just happened today, its bugging me enough to get rid of my ipod. Its a 80gig, with the latest software..

try on other system may be a hardware issue....
if the same occurs in other system ....then check out a different OS say windows XP
mostly the first should work..... if it works on the other system then first scan for any virus.... even some time promblem may occur due to virus.......

is it the same computer as b4? cuz if not then that's part of the program from Apple so that people won't be able to share music
