Anyone else lose a parent to MS?

Or fear they might get it someday too? My dad was diagnosed w/ MS in 1975 when my mom was pregnant w/ me & he died from it in 2005.

It stands for Multiple Sclerosis.

my aunt has it n hubbys uncle had . they were friends at the home. he died -shes getting bad. she cant write anymore. afraid for my daughter. i goin by distemper in cats-ever heard of it? from the little people i do no who have it had cats with it. im tryin 2 figure it out--

My Mom was diagnosed too late
with "Temporal Ateritis",
( yes, folks, this is spelled correctly),
which is a rare disease.
It is basically, a severe
inflammation of the of the
Temporal Artery and it causes
a thinning in the wall of the artery
and the person goes blind because
of the hemorrhage and the damage
to the Optic Nerve. Mother used
to teach Art and Classical Ballet.

i'm sorry about your lost. no i didn't lose a parent through MS. in fact i don't know much about it. so i'll get myself educated.

did he eat plenty of lecithin? That is supposed to repair the myelin sheathing that protects the nerves.

if its a disease than yes my dad died from that disease....... or so they say
