I would have to dig into the memories of past relationships for this one as I do not have a current girl friend now.

It happened to me a long time ago when I said I loved her, she did not answer back.

NO! In fact after he did not say it back a month later I told his friend my situation he said pack up like you do not want to be with him and leave he will say it then..he did. We were together for 7 years and split up so I do not know if it is the best way to get a guy to say it!

its nice to throw your heart out to have someone catch and not trample or hurt it.

sometimes you need to exercise good common sense. you might want to hedge a bit and say something like; 'i feel so good when i am with you and so sad when we go home. i think i might be falling in love with you. do you have similar feelings'

you don't want to put yourself in the position of revealing all have the cad sit there say and feel nothing.

you should also try to get a real idea of what the guy feels for you. does he genuinely like or is he just waiting to take advantage.

finally, your gut feelings about what he is feeling and thinking should not be disregarded.

Yes he did. We fell in love. If you want to tell someone you love them, Go for it girl! I presume that is the reason but you might just be curious:)
Hope this has helped.
Good luck.

I told him he did not have to say it until he truly felt it, and he said it back a month later.
