I am wanting to get guild wars ,but my mom wont let me get it if it has gods in it.

Yes, there are fictional gods in Guild Wars back story. There are also scattered shrines to them through out the games.
Those shrines are for decorational purposes, however, and have no game use. Also, to my immediate knowledge, you never actually meet a god in the game; though you do run into many ghosts, elementals, and other spirits. Also, unlike other MMORPGs there is no class is actually associated with the worship of a deity (unlike say World of Warcraft's "Priest" class.) (The 'monk' class in Guild Wars are more of a martial arts feel, espite the fac that they are still healers.)
Exception: the first major arc of Guild Wars: Nightfall involves stopping a group of people from resurrecting their dark and forgotten god. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guild_Wars_Nightfall for details. You end up confronting it directly at the Nightfall story line.
Unforntunatly, if you mom objects to fictional gods, ALL fantasy MMORPGS (which is most MMORPGs are) have at least the mention of gods in their back story. Many have high level events where your party must confront and stop these beings!

Yes Guild Wars has five "gods" in it and there are shrines to these gods scattered thru out the game, but they don't play a huge part in the storyline and you certainly aren't required to bow down and worship them.
I'm a Christian and I play GW. I'd suggest getting the game and joining a Christian guild if that is your mom's concern.

yeah guild wars kindof has gods in it. balthazar melendru but theyre more symbollic than actual gods. pretty much theyre like symbols of each of the classes. you dont choose to worship them or anything altho they do come up in the storyline a lot

All gods are fake. Play the game - it's pretty good. Ignore your Mom and life will work out just fine... Listen to her and you might end up invading a sovereign nation or something someday.
