They hate us for being over in their countries. They want us out of Saudi Arabia. They want to instill a religious state that controls the people where their leaders decide right or wrong. I mean, heck, we can't stop supporting the Saudis because they have progressive rules like 50 lashes for a victim of a gang rape, because she road in a car with a non family member.

They hate us because we have soldiers stationed in so many Islamic countries, most notably Saudi Arabia.

They hate us because we are so woefully ignorant about their cultures and their regional politics...and we don't even care to learn.

They hate us for almost a hundred years of interference, exploitation, and manipulation of their nations.

They hate us because of all the dictatorships we have installed and/or support in the region.

They hate us the way they have hated foreign intervention for centuries. They DON'T actually hate us any more than they've hated everybody from the Romans to the Soviets.

They hate us because of how easy we find it to exterminate old men, women, and children. The U.S. will slaughter a block full of families just to murder one suspect.

These are just a few of the reasons why they hate us. The real question is: Why don't more Americans hate the idiots in the executive branch who got us into this mess?

All terrorism is.. is a BUSINESS.

If there was NO PUBLICITY about which "groups" were responsible -- you'd be surprised how little terror there would be (because there's NO absurd glory in it, right?). OBL would be another lonely millionaire, trying to scam American chicks and pretend to be a devout muslim... if it wasn't for the press coverage across the Middle East.

You have HEARD of Jesse James, right? Al Capone? and Robin Hood? look at the garbage that Hollywood & gansta Rap puts out.. of villians being heroes, over and over and over. It's the same crap. terrorism is... of a self-righteous rogue, that captures media attention, and this focuses importance on his Cause and himself Yasser Arafat got INT'L STARDOM thanks to the Time & Newsweek covers in the 70s -- instead of simply being shot in the heat, around 1975 (at least). Which is what he deserved.

Hate to wake everyone up, but it's a well-funded organization that spends $$$ on weaponry and employs the stupid to carry that weaponry. That's all terror is..

People don't even KNOW that Ottawa is the capital of Canada. But, they know all about New York City & D.C. -- and if you're a terrorist.. where do you target for the most media attention?

Well if anyone bothered to listen to any of these people speak, and listen to something besides the ..."America is evil" fanaticism, and the empty CMT "they hate us for our freedom" rhetoric, they would realize the real reason they hate America, is the fact that our government strong arms most other countries economically. This was the reason Osama targeted The World Trade Center, America's symbol of economic domination.

Not that that makes terrorism ok, but it definitely shows why they aren't hating the countries you mentioned.

probably because those countries mind their own business, and don't try to go change how they are running their own country. like the USA has. The USA thought hey we don't like how Iraq is not as free as we are so lets go capture their president and put him to death. When actually we had no business as how they run their country. Sure, they say we went in for weapons of mass destruction but found none, so it was an excuse.

Most terrorists are also huge fans of Brian Adams, Abba, that yummy cheese that has the red skin on it, Carnival,(the Brazilian Mardi Gras) Rembrandt and the Red Green Show. Terrorists are NOT fans of Lynrd Skynrd, hot dogs, apple pie, and the oppressor bourgeois swine pigs who are running our country.

They don't hate us for our freedoms. They have stated several times that they hate us for stationing troops in Saudi Arabia, Mecca. Sweden, Canada, Netherlands, or Brazil do not have troops in the Middle East. UK and Spain have supported us with troops.

The USA is the main barrier to achieving the "caliphate", a global theocracy under sharia law. Sharia law is practiced in Saudi Arabia and is responsible for the recent decision by their "courts" to apply 200 lashes and a jail term to a woman who was gang raped simply because she was riding in a car with a man who was not a relative.

Canada and Sweden, the Netherlands and Brazil, do not pose a threat to the goal of a global caliphate since they do not have the influence or power that we have.
