sometimes we can say or do something that seems ok to us but for some weird reasons...it would hurt or give a bad impression of things on our friends of ourselves...no matter how life is,we can't please everyone...there are times even with family members we would blunder...that is life right?

Well yes and I felt so bad. We were going out one night and my friend said, "Do these pants make my but look big?" I said, "Do you want me to tell you the truth?" She said, "Yes." I said, "Yes and they make it look like an upside down bowling pin." She was very hurt but later she said, "I know I can trust you as a real friend because I thought the same thing but everyone else said they looked good!"
It was a lesson in honesty that goes back more than 20 years

Well, wolflady everyone has done so I think, without intending to. As long as you realise the mistake you made, and make up for it after expressing your sorry for the same it shouldn't be a big issue in the long run.

I have. I lied to her once, and I thought that it would be for the better. However, the lie turned out hurting her more than the truth did. But we got over it, although it took awhile.

I think everyone has at some point. The only thing you can really do is give a sincere apology and try to learn from the experience.

yes, I did.
it was painful and they took it seriously!!
I say sorry for a million times and it didn't work.
BUt later i explain calmly to her that I didn't mean it, and its ok if you don't understand and if you don't want to be my friend anymore then is ok.
But I promise you that after a few days your friend will come chasing after you wanting you bak, you know why?
its because they will never find a great friend as great and good as YOU are.
think about it.. :)

Yes, but I acted fast and I apologize immediately after I saw her reaction and then I realized I said something wrong
