Reading, collecting poems and quotes. I have a book list of books I have read, so my kids or husband don't buy a book that I have already read.

In the last 12 years I have written my personal history and the history of most of my ancestors. I have one last line of history to write. This line goes back to the Frontiersmen of the territory that, at the time was Kentucky, Tennessee and West Virgina and they were also Pioneers of the states out west.

My husband and I have the same hobbies. We repair old family pictures and make videos, photo albums and slide shows of family weddings and special occasions.

I'm no longer able to attend special occasions. My husband films and take pictures and we make videos and slide shows of the events.

It's almost like I was there, when I can watch the videos and slide shows.

I love to listen to my music. I love and collect all types of music with the exception of heavy metal and rap music.

I'm obsessed with NBA basketball.

All of my hobbies keep me very busy and I have many projects that I should be working on right now, instead of doing this.

Thanks so much for the nice question and by the way you didn't mention your hobbies.

My husband and I keep adding to our collection of bromeliads and other air plants (epiphytes). The parkway in front of our house and our front porch are loaded with them. We just 'inherited' 2 more staghorn ferns this weekend. We already had one hanging in our ligustrum tree and we are devising a way to hang one from a branch of our live oak. The third staghorn is going to a neighbor, and we'll be helping her to hang it from her oak tree.

I have been slowly converting our yard to gardens and native plants/bushes; over the last 15 years I've reduced our lawn by over half. I do still have a small patch of lawn in both the front and back yards, but we now mostly have low maintenance-natural rainfall bushes and plants. I keep a few pots of plants that need more care, but they are grouped togther, and I lose a few every time I go out of town.

I host "front porch conferences" for our family, neighbors, and friends. I keep refreshments on hand, candles and party lights displayed, and have had some of the most interesting discussions ever!

I'm taking a break now; but for many years I have been a moderator at another online community. I managed the message boards, took my turn hosting the chat room, wrote articles for the monthly newsletter, and helped plan gatherings. I loved do all these things, but my availability has been spotty so I had to take a break. I miss it and plan on going back soon.

I'm an active volunteer; but I do not consider this a hobby-it's more like a vocation.

At home: crochet, online crossword puzzles, trying to maintain a tiny garden just off my living room, reading. Away from home: bowling in a wonderful senior league. This is a good way to meet people and start and maintain friendships. I love baseball and watch or attend as many Mariner games as possible. I visit antique stores and thrift stores to see if there might be something I missed. I have refinished quite a few pieces of furniture over the years. I buy and sell on ebay.

Cake Decorating, I used to make Cards, Calligraphy, I dabble a bit with Oil Painting, but the ones that take up most of my time at the moment is my Dogs, a 3yr old and a new pup of 5mths, I'm loving all the training and stuff......I used to love Horse Riding, Gardening and Home Decorating, but these things I find too difficult to do anymore....but never mind, I'm still happy and grateful for the things I can still do

I llike a variety of things. First on the list is reading. We just got a coupon from Barnes & Noble, and I debated with myself about buying more books, but Bob encouraged me NOT to throw it away.

I also love to cook and bake and to crochet, and I love gardening in the flowerbed (leaving the heavy work to the yard man, of course).

And my newest hobby is sharing my worldly wisdom on Y/A.

Gardening is one... I'm planting our yard primarily in Hummingbird favored, water wise, plants. (Various Aloes, Cape Honeysuckle, Echevarias, & Desert Willow, so far.)

I crochet some, prefering practicle projects like warm hats & blankets, but have also dmade a few antimaccasers, doilies, & necklaces, too.

I've a collection of books on various subjects: the world of creation, some science, several natural health books, including herbs, & supplements, prefering such books written by NDs. I also collect children's books that are enjoyable to read that give practicle information, as I never had access to very many myself, & like to share them with children who currently have limited access to such.

I enjoy my dogs (& the neighbor's dogs who drop in to visit mine), & what I've learned from training & caring for them over the years. (Would have at least 1 cat, but the dogs came & scared it off! I grew up w/ & enjoy cats a lot, too!)
When my hubby's cotton bluejeans wear out, I make them into mats or pillows for the dogs. (Very simply sew the inner seams of the legs to each other, which can be stuffed, then the ends sewn shut. Yoou can then sew the side seems of 2 seperate pairs together, to form a wider mat or pillow. -- I hate to be wasteful! My folks lived thru the Great Depression, & instilled a desire to be very practicle in me!) The dogs do seem to appreciate my efforts, too. (;

I occasionally limber up my fingers on the piano keyboard. Or, enjoy a board game, when I can get someone to play a game with me--preferably Scrabble, Cribbage, or Chinese Checkers. (I have a small collection of various games.)

I'm following the newsletters from Gary Craig's EFT Web site, because they are finding that it is extremely effective for just about any problem. (Learning about Quantum Physics in detail (which EFT is based on) is over my head, so I'm grateful that I don't need to know the details for it to work for me!) I've been researching herbs for personal use for some time, as well as other supplements, but, EFT is even more interesting to me now, as it is absolutely free, easy to learn, & can be applied to ANY problem...

However, sharing what the Bible actually teaches is what is most rewarding, & I am able to do this even on Y!As, by posting links to articles based directly on the Bible, as well as giving explanations along with links to specific Scriptures. That is why I really come to Yahoo! Answers...

In the warmer weather I am usually in my flower garden or on my swing watching the birds. I enjoy crocheting, knitting and sewing. I used to read a lot more but don't seem to find the time anymore.

Outside of enjoy working in the garden and flower bed. I like making stuff. When it is too cold and nasty out side, I like working on my craft stuff, most of which I give away as either Christmas gifts or birthdays. I even make quilts as well and some of those are given away as a gifts. I enjoy cooking also.

I love to work in my garden in the warm months. When the weather gets cold I have a small greenhouse that I tend to, and I also do some family genealogy work.
