take pride in your work. there is no way to get around it or fix other people's opinion. You are excelling at what you do. You cannot control other people's reactions, just be proud of your work and your classes. People in the advanced classes are struggling and you, though fully capable of partaking in those classes, are achieving amazing things. Just because you are not in a specific class does not mean you are less intelligent than the other kids...

it's not too bad to try to hide something like this. just try to maybe take summer school because you might need the higher up math anyways if you're going to college. If you really are pretty smart, you can a take a correspondence course through some college to earn the high school credit, your counselor should know what that is
don't worry, people really don't care as much as you think they do

Hi... don't be ashamed because you're taking algebra... and if you have "issues" and feel you want to move on to calculus, maybe you could talk with your algebra teacher or the school counselor?
i do believe there are programs which help kids to learn how to study and grasp things better.. it's not that you are dumb or stupid, but you could be overwhelmed by all you have to learn in school... and maybe calculus seems "too big" right now?
i am sure there are ways around it... take care and i hope it works out!

No need to feel like an idiot...maths is a very weak point for me, and I managed to get through my education okay. I almost have my masters' degree, so it didn't affect me at all.
Plenty of people have trouble with this subject. There's no way they'd look down on you, as at least some of them will have the same problem. try to relax, and do the best you can. That's all you can do.

dude math sucks... your cool if you cant add!!! get a new haircut, contacts and ditch the pocket protector then tell everyone how:
standardized testing just ruins creativity and pits todays youth against each other while struggling to get somewhere in today's economic race. and what is really important is what the individual is interested in, not what the state thinks is important. i mean the only reason the state is even interested in our education is to win our parents vote in the next election anyways! COME on who uses CALCULUS, a calculus teacher.... pssss.... calculus who needs it!
works every time....

to tell you the truth, math was never really my strong point. lol. but i really don't think you should care about what other people think. just think about it, half of those people who'd make fun of you for something like that, is evidently a person who has a weak point that he or she is also trying to hide. we all have weak points and there's no reason to be ashamed. maybe pick up a new skill. :] for me, that was art. but now i'm homeschooled. anyway, much luck to you.
God Bless,

This is nothing to be ashamed about.
I think math is very hard, so must I be ashamed about it?
Naw....
Admit that there will always be things you will be good at and things you would not be good at.

As long as you try your hardest and know you are doing your best there is no point in comparing yourself to everyone else otherwise you will never be happy in life.

Mate, anyone that sticks it to you cause you're not as bright as they think you should be is no one worth worrying about. If you're doing your best, then lose the shame, as you've got nothing to worry about. Anyone that has a problem with that? That's THEIR problem, not yours.
