see if you can find a small shop in your area. you get better service and warranties with small owner operator type shops. mine gave me a 3 year warranty on top of manufacturer warranties.

If your asking for PCs that you need to build for yourself then go to newegg.com for all your needs. I'm to sure if they have custom build machines there but I'm pretty sure they'll have what you need. Vista blows. I agree. They're just messing things up with this new OS.

IF you can't find any PCs that you may like. You could try buying a vista PC and then put in a new(blank/empty) hard drive and load up the old Windows XP Pro on there. I'm not sure if this actually works because when you put vista on your computer they record your motherboard type and CPU and send it to their servers for records so you can't share the vista program on your other computers or make copies of it. This may cause you to not be able to load up the old XP Pro version on your computer because of their security.

I doubt it will stop the motherboard and CPU from accepting the old OS, but its just a precaution because Microsoft is pulling a bundle of security outta its programs so that it prevents theft on DVDs, songs, movies, games, etc. And they may have hidden something that small to prevent people from converting to the old OS after wards.

Only my opinion.

Good luck. Hope you find your answer somewhere if not here.
