I hear this is a common problem with anti-depressants. Try switching meds. Tell your doctor and your partner. Also, spend more time getting in the mood either with yourself or your partner. A little foreplay goes a long way.

Several answers on here are telling you to stop taking your meds, talk to your Dr. first. Don't try to quit cold turkey trust me it's not fun. You may want to try another type of anti depressant. I'm on Welbutrin and it doesn't affect my sex drive at all. Keep in mind that not every drug works for everyone but I just wanted to give you some food for thought.

The anti depressant I take is Wellbutrin. It actually increases my sex drive. And it makes my orgasms last 2 minutes, sometime longer. Ask your doctor if it could do the same thing for you as it does for a man.

Yeah, I so understand. I had the same thing happen when I was taking elavil. You will have to get swithched to something else. It doesn't go away. It was such a bummer for me because I felt better and had less headaches, but I would get in the mood but could not get OG. Real Bummer

Well my dear, I'm not an m.d., but I can tell you that any type of drug can adversly affect different people in different ways.
Apparently you are seeing the nail comming out the other side, Personal advise to you, is get off the medication before
other SIDE AFFECTS get in you way,
Depression is one thing but my sex life I WILL DEFEND!!!
You need to MOTIVATE yourself at all costs, and beet that depression, drugs are the easy way out to your problems.
Hope this info can help you, and by the way, getting those meds. out of your system (detox) might help considerably.

Yes. Antidepressants will put you in a mild trance. They suppress your sexual desires in the brain. Try to get back to what used to turn you on. Focus on your sexual fantasies, bring them back into your life and try more communication during sex and role play with your partner. This may help bring you back to wanting the great sexual release your mind is really yearning for. Goodluck:)

once the anti depressents start working you wil start feeling good about yourself.
Go get a hairstyle. a sexy outfit....trust me when you feel good about yourself...a woman always feels sexier... might help the mood within yourself...

Do something consciously that you know will put you in the mood. Read or write erotic stories, set up an atmosphere for it (candles, music, lingerie, etc,) take a hot bath, etc.
Worked for my wife and I.
