My family had numerous pets when I was growing up. Aside from the usual dogs and cats, we have had three hermit crabs, several budgies, a lovebird, countless tropical fishes, koi and goldfishes in a pond outside, three turtles, an iguana, a few chameleons (which invaribly die for no apparent reason), a rabbit, a few ducks, a ring-necked dove, mice, hamsters, gerbils, lizards, frogs, ant farms, and the occasional caterpillar, some of which even made it to adulthood. There were probably others I have forgotten. I have a huge family and we are all animal lovers.

A sugar glider (died last April and we are still mourning)
Two Mynah birds, the other one died years ago, while the other one died just recently.
Rabbits. I think we had up to 4-5 (I can't exactly remember)
A pig. We ate it on my sister's birthday. Sad, yes.
A duck. Not sure why it died but it was years ago.
A cockatoo. One day it just died when the housekeeper forgot to feed it.
Fishes. Can't count them all because my sister would want to replace the ones that died.
A couple of squirrels. Not sure why it died but it was when I was really young.
A sparrow. I accidentally killed it. It did not last that long.

a ball python - we got rid of it, because everytime we walked by the aquarium it would strike and bust it's mouth on the glass. It never did learn there was a glass there - stupid snake

hampsters and fish (they all wound up in the toilet) oh, and a sand crab - he was wonderful - he was the easiest pet we ever had

Four goats, two turkeys, and my son had four snakes in the house for awhile. One was a thirteen foot burmese python. She was a really good snake.
